2011 RACV Energy Breakthrough: Energy Efficient Vehicles

For the Hybrids and EEV’s at the Holden Track in the 2011 RACV Energy Breakthrough. 25 hybrids and energy efficient vehicles competed in the event this year. The hybrids often get overlooked so here is a video dedicated to all the schools who worked all year to create a hybrid that could last the distance. Any HPV teams you should defiantly consider entering over at the holden track, there is a great bunch of schools would are more than willing to help you make the transition. FURTHER INFO ABOUT THE EVENT: Schools design and construct their vehicles throughout the year and then compete in a range of areas including a presentation, knowledge of their vehicles and a 24 hour endurance race. www.racvenergybreakthrough.net

    @3boronia First year issues, its always the way. Pretty courageous to run in the all electric category so congrats for having entering it in the first place. We had a fair few teething problems with our electrics too. But hey, at least it got to finish that’s the main thing and the best fun.

    Yes Chairo, the all electric was a bit of a fail but you cant get it perfect the first time. the chain broke with 5 minutes to go so we started pushing it. water and electrics dont mix, the steering snapped, the circuit board blew many times, the vehicle just broke. but hey it was fun.

    @3boronia That sucks, though being pit crew is nearly just as fun. From Chairo? unlucky about the all electric vehicle, what happened?
