This powers my cabin most of the winter. I just upgraded the penstock to 2 inch and its nearly doubled the power .. probably around 200 watts with a windblue alternator and home built setup using an olive barrel. Check out more at www.homebrewhydro.com

this is exactly what i intend to build to power my cabin… If you would be so kind, how many amp alternator are you using, how much battery storage do you have, what size inverter are you using and what kind of appliances are you powering?
I’m trying to get an idea of how much I will need to power luxury items like a freezer in the summer and a hot water heater in the winter. also hoping you could help with information on the turban

Mine spins pretty easy without a load. Keep in mind if your wind blue is new it does take a little breaking in time. It’ll get better and better after a week or two of spinning.

    cheers
