Puget Sound Energy’s Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility features 149 wind turbines. This video tour takes you inside the 351-foot-tall wind turbines, giving a first hand look at how renewable energy works. Directions to the Wild Horse visitors’ center can be found at PSE.com.

WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE

ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they’re sealed underground.
SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since the turbines are slow-moving.
DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.
MAY BE LOWER-COST since it can use parts of junked trucks and others.
ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.
HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

why not ride the service lift?
Wind turban? Is that what an arab wears on a breezy day?
the music fits it awesomley
Americans can say ˈtərˌbīn rather than tərbən. It’s just that this guy doesn’t know the difference.
…why the hell can’t Americans say turbINE!?
@jontag78 ,
I am a rate payer for this bogus power source.
Wind power is being used as a fulcrum and lever to pry money from a captive audience….under the guise of another bogus left wing ideology: global warming.
If wind power was surviving in the free market, fine.
I am a victim of abuse.
@Navigator777777 Discharge water over the dam??? How can you possibly comment on wind power when you obviously don’t have a clue what you are talking about??
My Polacy przejmujemy ten film.
I used to be a wind tech intill i took an arrow to the knee
Fascinating. Too bad it can’t match nuclear. Damn pretty too.
Best channel ever!
@Flamorgan ,
Thanks. I see you are greedy as well.
Why…how dare you be independent!
What about all the needy without power?
Spread the amps, Brother!
(Not into socialism? Neither am I.)
@Navigator777777 No thanks, you can keep your greed. I will stick with my free indpendant and reliable source of power.
@Flamorgan ,
Further….the windmill folks want guaranteed rates which are higher then what BPA rate…..wether they produce power or not.
Then…lets say we do use the windmill power? We have to discharge water over the dam.
There is only one dam on the columbia river drainage that actually stores water: The Grand Coulee Dam.
The rest have what they call pondage.
There is no infrastructure to store wind energy.
However, the bottom line is the rate payers are getting screwed.
@Flamorgan
Greed? Not really.
And besides, there is nothing wrong with greed.
The owner of the grid, in our case, BPA, sells electricity on the open market.
BPA sells their own power first at whatever rate the market will bear. There is no shortage of electricity…or water to make the turbines go round.
Now…the wind mill people are complaining they can’t make any money because BPA’s power is sold too cheap.
